Follow on Instagram →Every runner has someone who inspired them. Mine, of course, was my long-time running partner Darrel — but the inspiration for most, if not all, of my friends in that community was Andy Stewart. Here is my tribute.
Thomas "Andy" Andrew Stewart · June 12, 1957 – November 9, 2021
Andy was a passionate coach and community leader who poured his heart into the running world for decades. Owner of Finish Line Sports in Sugar Land, Texas, he supported runners of all ages — kids to adults — with encouragement, knowledge, and unwavering ethics.
A true friend to the Houston / Fort Bend running community, he directed races, volunteered tirelessly, and inspired countless athletes to keep going.
His positive spirit and dedication live on in everyone he coached and every mile we run today.
Thank you, Coach Andy. 🏃
